Dr. Azhar Lakhani has completed his specialization in orthopaedics from the prestigious Grant Government Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai.

Being a premier government medical college and hospital, he was trained in various orthopaedic procedures including management of complex trauma and fractures, Joint replacement surgery, Arthroscopic surgery and Sports medicine, Paediatric orthopaedics, Spine surgeries etc.

After finishing his post-graduation, he has served as an Assistant professor at Dr Vaishampayan Memorial Govt Medical College , Solapur.
Following this, he got an opportunity to further deepen his knowledge and understanding of complex trauma and limb reconstruction at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. Ganga hospital is one of the largest trauma hospitals in the country and has been consistently ranked as the best hospital in orthopedic surgery by various forums. It attracts doctors from all over the world and Dr. Lakhani is proud to be an alumnus of this institute.

He has further trained in Joint replacement surgeries at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune under the able guidance of Dr. Hemant Wakankar.

Over the course of several years, Dr. Lakhani has chaired and participated in several regional and national orthopedic conferences to update and share his knowledge. He also has several publications in national and international orthopedic journals. Currently, he is working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgeon at Columbia Asia Hospital, Kharadi, Pune.
